Youth support services for young people

This questionnaire is for young people aged 11-25 years old, who live in Wales.

The following questions are about the youth support services available to young people aged 11-25, in Wales. These are services that are intended to help you participate in education and training, take advantage of opportunities for employment and participate effectively and responsibly in the life of your community.

In some of the questions, we give examples of what these services might be but the examples listed are not the only services you might use.

The information you provide in this questionnaire is confidential. It won’t be used to identify you personally and only Estyn will have access to this information. We will share general information with Welsh Government but not individual comments or questionnaires.

The questionnaire will take no longer than 15 minutes to complete

What Matters Most?

We’re working on a plan that will shape the present and future of Wrexham County Borough. It’ll impact on your life, and the lives of future generations.

Thank you for your help so far. There’s a long way to go so we hope you’ll continue to help us deliver the future we all want.

It’s really important we get it right.  That’s why we’re involving you every step of the way, and now we want you to help decide which of the proposed priorities are the most important.

Youth Parliament Consultation

The Assembly has engaged with tens of thousands of children and young people since its establishment in 1999, and as a result, the voices and views of young people have increasingly influenced the work of the Assembly. The Assembly recognises the value of this input and would like to set up a youth parliament so that issues that affect young people can be discussed at a national level. The Assembly has worked with young people and adults from national organisations to develop the key features of a youth parliament for you to consider. This is your opportunity to have your say on the youth parliament and how it will work. Have your say by completing our survey. The survey will close on 30 June.

We would like to ask young people with disabilities or additional needs, their parents and siblings for views about service provision for families of disabled children in Wrexham. The result of this survey will help us commission the right services for those families.

Participation Strategy – Your Views Welcome

In order to get more young people involved in decisions made in Wrexham a consultation is currently taking place seeking views on a Participation Strategy for 2017 – 2020.

The Participation Strategy sets out how the council wants to make sure the voices of young people are always heard when it comes to important decisions.  As such it’s very important they put forward their views on it.

Please feel free to take part in the consultation and encourage young people you know to take part too.
