Ketamine

This is a very strong anesthetic (when we do sessions in schools, most people say it is a horse tranquiliser!), but it used for stopping pain in both animals and humans if they are having an operation.

It causes a loss of feeling all over your body and when used for recreational purposes it leaves users extremely vulnerable as if they have used too much they can ‘fall into a k hole’ and not able to move.

The feelings of being detached from your body are common and it can cause confusion and paranoia and is linked with the onset of depression.

Long term users report pain when they try and pee and also having to have their bladder taken out as the ketamine has worn it away.
